01 — CREATIVE
DjI Sam Soe Premium Scroll. Our one of the toughest job this year, in collaboration with Lynx Films, and Director Bona Palma came up with this idea wher live-action talent, invite people to join the march for a masterpiece walk where magical dust and golden scroll carpet used as the main devices for that purpose.
02 — ART & DESIGN
The arstistic goal is to create seamless and well-integrated live action and CGI in every shots. Since the live action plates were taken in different locations and conditions, the challenge is to keep consistent lighting and tonality, and of course, to look indistinguishable to the live action.
03 — MOTION
For animation we use a combination of hand-craft animation, particles effect, and cloth simulation in order to have art-directable movement of the scroll, cloth and the swirly dust.
Previs and animation part was quite a challenge due to the fact we only given 1 week time for 24 shots, but we managed to get it despite of the difficult time constraint. Check out the previs below:
